How can I request a referral?

Your GP will typically refer you to ensure we have access to your medical history, previous treatments, and any tests you’ve undergone. However, if you prefer not to see your GP or if you have already visited us before, you can schedule an appointment with Dr Wong directly by calling us at 09 623 5644.

When can I get an appointment?

We will offer you the earliest available appointment, which can vary depending on the nature of your condition. It’s best to inform us about your preferences so that we can arrange a suitable appointment for you. Urgent appointments are available.

Can I have my surgery in a public hospital even if I see the surgeon privately?

Yes, if you require surgery, all the surgical options, including private hospital surgery or placement on the public hospital waiting list, will be thoroughly discussed with you during your consultation.

Is health insurance necessary?

No, it is not mandatory. If you do not have health insurance, please discuss this with your surgeon. We will provide you with all the information you need to make an informed choice regarding whether you prefer surgery in a private or public hospital.
